Oprah’s Angel Network operates oambassadors.org (the “Site”). The O Ambassadors project, to which this Site relates, is a joint project of Oprah’s Angel Network and Kids Can Free The Children. Kids Can Free The Children as used throughout the Site refers to two organizations: Kids Can Free The Children, a Canadian not for profit charitable organization with offices in Toronto, and Kids Can Free The Children, a New York not for profit corporation (both such organizations are referred to collectively in the Site as Kids Can Free The Children or Free The Children).
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THIS SITE CAREFULLY AND TAKE NOTE OF THE SPECIAL SECTION THAT SETS FORTH ADDITIONAL TERMS RELATED TO THE O AMBASSADORS CLUB SECTION OF THE SITE. By using this Site, you are deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions of use. Oprah’s Angel Network reserves the right to modify them at any time. You should check these terms and conditions periodically for changes. By using this Site after Oprah’s Angel Network posts any changes to these terms and conditions, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them. If at any time you choose not to accept these terms and conditions of use, please do not use this Site.
Scope of Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Site, operated by or on behalf of Oprah’s Angel Network. These terms and conditions do not apply to your use of other sites to which this Site links. Please note that a different set of terms and conditions (including the privacy policy) applies to oprahsangelnetwork.org and to freethechildren.com, two sites to which this Site links.
Restrictions on Use of Materials
The contents of this Site are protected by copyright and trademark laws, and are the property of its owner and/or licensors. Unless Oprah’s Angel Network says otherwise, you may access the materials for: (i) personal home use provided that you may only download one copy of the posted materials, or (ii) non commercial educational use. In no instance may you post the materials on any websites or otherwise publish the materials. Nor may you change or delete any author attribution, trademark, legend or copyright notice. When you download copyrighted material you do not obtain any ownership rights in that material.
Except as set forth in the prior paragraph, you may not modify, copy, publish, display, transmit, adapt or in any way exploit the content of this Site. Only if you obtain prior written consent from Oprah’s Angel Network — and from all other entities with an interest in the relevant intellectual property — may you publish, display or exploit in any way any material from this Site.
You must abide by all additional copyright notices or other restrictions contained in this Site.

These terms and conditions apply only to this Site, and not to the sites of any other companies or organizations, including those to which this Site may link. Neither Oprah’s Angel Network nor Free The Children is responsible for the availability of any other site to which this Site links. Nor do either entities endorse or take responsibility for the contents or materials made available through any other site. Under no circumstances will Oprah’s Angel Network or Free The Children be held responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any loss or damage that is caused or alleged to have been caused to you in connection with your use of, or reliance on, any content, goods or services available on any other site. You should direct any concerns to that site’s administrator or webmaster.
Other sites may link to this Site only through a plain-text link. Permission must be granted by Oprah’s Angel Network for any other type of link to this Site. Ownership and Use of Information Collected on Site
You acknowledge that Oprah’s Angel Network and/or its partners (as determined by Oprah’s Angel Network) are the owners of information collected on this Site. We welcome your comments about the Site. Unless we state otherwise, if you send us any creative idea, suggestion, photograph, video, audio recording, art work, written material or other content (“Submission”), it shall become the property of Oprah’s Angel Network and/or its partners (as determined by Oprah’s Angel Network). You acknowledge and agree that we have no obligation to use your Submission and that we may edit the Submission as we see fit. No Submission will be subject to any obligation of confidence by us, and we will not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Submission. Oprah’s Angel Network and/or its partners (as determined by Oprah’s Angel Network) will exclusively own all known or later-existing rights to the Submission worldwide, and will be entitled to the unrestricted use of the Submission in all media, for any purpose, without compensation or notice to the provider of the Submission. By sending a submission, you represent and warrant that you have sufficient rights in the Submission for the grant of rights to us hereunder and that all statements in the Submission are true and not misleading.
The O Ambassadors Club Program
The Site contains a subsection called the “O Ambassadors Club” directed toward applicants who apply to be part of the O Ambassadors program and toward Clubs that have been accepted into the O Ambassadors program. You acknowledge that information submitted on the Site, including within this subsection, may be freely shared with Free The Children and such other third party partners that may, from time to time, be involved in the O Ambassadors Club program. The O Ambassadors Club area of the Site has several unique features that allow users to add content to that portion of the Site. Users may post personal stories, which upon approval and/or editing by Oprah’s Angel Network or Free The Children, may be made available for public access in the Stories section of the Site. Additionally, users may upload audio and images relevant to their participation in the O Ambassadors Club program and such Submission(s) may be published in the public or Club areas of the Site, on the websites of Oprah’s Angel Network and Free the Children or in other O Ambassadors-related materials.
You acknowledge that a separate registration process is required for access to the O Ambassadors Club program. Only adult educators may register for the O Ambassadors Club program and only educators accepted into the O Ambassadors Club program (and certain O Ambassadors Club teen student leaders meeting the program’s eligibility requirements) may post or submit content to the O Ambassadors Club program. Such educators are responsible for all activities related to the O Ambassadors Club program conducted in connection with their registration, including any material or information posted or submitted to the Site. You acknowledge that only material and information consistent with the objectives of the O Ambassadors Club program may be posted to the Site and that in no event shall you post (or permit anyone else to post) any material or information to the Site that is defamatory, offensive, obscene, in violation of any law or otherwise inappropriate. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions relating to any Submission, including any necessary permission from parents or legal guardians. As set forth in the Privacy Policy, it is your responsibility to limit the amount and nature of the personally identifiable information contained within any Submission by you to the O Ambassadors Club program. Oprah’s Angel Network and Free The Children reserve the right to make use of the contents of any Submission (e.g., a photo of a fundraising event) as we deem appropriate in connection with the O Ambassadors program, including, without limitation, on publicly accessible sections of the Site related to the O Ambassadors Club program in connection with stories related to the activities and successes of the O Ambassadors Club program or in email communications related to the O Ambassadors Club program.

You acknowledge and agree that Oprah’s Angel Network, Free The Children and their respective affiliates are not liable for any loss of data or profit, or from any defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any user of this Site. If you are dissatisfied with any material accessible on or through this Site, or with any of these Terms and Conditions, you should discontinue using this Site. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
Parental Permission
Oprah’s Angel Network prohibits registration by children under the age of 13 for all interactive portions of this Site including chats and message boards. Oprah’s Angel Network will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 AND STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT PARENTS PARTICIPATE IN THEIR CHILDREN’S EXPLORATION OF THE INTERNET AND ANY ONLINE SERVICES AND USE THEIR BROWSER’S PARENTAL CONTROLS TO LIMIT THE AREAS OF THE INTERNET TO WHICH THEIR CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS.
Oprah’s Angel Network may, at its discretion, require users under 18 to obtain the consent of a parent or guardian to view certain content, and we may limit access to certain content to users above a specified age. You agree to abide by any such restrictions and not to help anyone avoid these restrictions.

Jurisdictional Issues
Oprah’s Angel Network controls and operates this Site from its offices in the United States of America and does not represent that materials on this Site are appropriate or available for use in other locations outside of the United States and Canada. Persons who choose to access this Site from other locations do so on their own initiative, and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
Miscellaneous
These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to any principles of conflicts of law. You agree that any action at law or in equity that arises out of or relates to these terms will be subject to binding arbitration in accordance with the Illinois Arbitration Association and will be arbitrated in Illinois. If any of these terms and conditions are found unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision will be considered severable from the remaining terms and conditions, and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. This is the entire agreement between you and us relating to the subject matter it contains. This agreement may be modified only by our posting of changes to these terms and conditions, or by a writing signed by both parties.
